Amazon Sr. Program Manager, Change Management, Devices Forecasting in Atlanta, Georgia
Description
We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to develop and lead change management plans as we deploy science-driven forecast enhancements to the Amazon Devices planning processes. The change management plans will ensure that customers are systematically consuming the source of truth demand signal that drives to our financial and operational objectives, and that legacy processes are deprecated after successful testing and launch of new processes.
This work includes partnering internally within the Devices' Science & Optimization (DSO) teams - product, science, engineering, data engineering, and business intelligence - and also partnering across the broader Devices organization with cross-functional teams including finance, sales & marketing, and supply planning.
This candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills and have experience in program management, or similar experience with leading implementation of complex projects across multiple levels of stakeholders, with visibility to leadership teams (VP+ level).
Key job responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
--Driving the transition from legacy, MSRP-driven forecasting to our newly launched total unit forecasting and multi-price forecast scenario analysis. This includes documentation of impacted customers/systems, ownership of transition plan with change management and training activities, creation of customer-facing training materials, and transition success criteria. Requires close partnership with our finance partners to ensure successful use of source of truth forecast as input to financial planning cycles (annual, quarterly) and close partnership with the planning and pricing product teams. Once transition criteria has been met, the Sr. PM is responsible for leading deprecation of the legacy infrastructure and process, in partnership with engineering and science.
--Change management for launch of new price-elasticity data store. This includes documentation of impacted customers/systems and architecture impact, ownership of transition plan with change management and training activities, and transition success criteria. Once transition success criteria has been met, the Sr. PM is responsible for leading deprecation of the legacy infrastructure and process in partnership with engineering and science.
--Change management for forecast expansion. In 2025, we have a Devices leadership goal to expand forecast coverage to all geographies, as well as additional device families. The Sr. PM will be responsible for leading documentation on the coverage expansion timeline and milestones and developing a customer-facing change management plan to ensure our cross-org partners in finance, sales & marketing, and supply planning have training and preparation to transition to a systematic use of the science demand forecast, transitioning away from the legacy, manual planning processes.
--Ownership and continuous iteration of launch announcements, customer-facing training materials and internal/external mechanisms to support forecast goals and roadmap launches.
About the team
The Devices forecasting team provides a singular, science-based demand signal as input to all Devices' planning decisions, including financial plans and operational decision making (build, allocation, promotion), for the global Devices' business.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
