Americold Logistics LLC Sr Manager, Training and Development - 52017 in Atlanta, Georgia

What you'll Do

The Sr. Manager, Training and Development, is responsible for the creation and delivery of Americold's leadership and professional skills training programs. He or she will partner closely with HR team members, HR Information Systems, site leaders and external vendors, and will be responsible to maintain the Americold learning management system to ensure the best end-user experience for our associates. The incumbent will be an integral part of the Talent and Culture team as the training and development lead for North America, working in close partnership with our Director, International Talent and Learning to create global solutions and execute them for North America. He or she will also support broader talent initiatives, establishing training and development solutions that address our most critical development priorities. This role location is Atlanta, GA. In partnership with the Director, International Talent and Learning, establish global training programs that suit our greatest leadership and professional development needs across the organization by level/area of focus. Execute all global learning programs for North America, as well as additional local ad hoc training needs as appropriate which may include supporting new team assimilations and related leadership assessments. Design, develop, update, manage and facilitate learning content (both in person and virtual where required). Partner with field and corporate HR partners on participant selection and manage learning programs from end to end. Own and maintain the Americold Learning Management System (LMS). Partner with the Learning Management System vendor and HRIS to maintain upgrades, improve system experience and update governance as needed. Evaluate and track training effectiveness via questionnaires and participant touchpoints. Review LMS system reporting capabilities and provide analytics, using data to determine continuous improvement activities and solutions; implement improvements where needed. Develop and maintain partnerships with HR, site operations leaders/managers and other functional business partners to keep a pulse on organizational needs. Partner with the business teams including Corporate Compliance, IT and Engineering to ensure both required and functional training is housed and administered via the Americold LMS system. Remain current on developments in training and instructional methodologies including technology enhancements; maintain and leverage external practices and knowledge through networks, forums, and meetings.

What Experience and Education You Need Bachelor's degree 7 years of experience developing, managing and delivering training programs end to end including leadership and professional skills training Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Learning Management Systems and related tools

What Could Set You Apart Knowledge of Oracle HCM Experience in an operations environment with multiple location DDI Certification a plus; DiSC, Gallup StrengthsFinders and other related certifications Self-sufficient and knowledgeable in tasks and technology required for both in-person and virtual training (e.g., Microsoft Teams, breakout rooms, etc.) Proficient project management skills with the ability to manage and effectively execute multiple projects and initiatives while staying on task

Physical Requirements Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruptions Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching, or bending Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work Talking, hearing, and seeing are important elements of completing assigned tasks May require travel by automobile and airplane for business May require visits to warehouse ope ations in temperatures at or below freezing May require carrying loads related to travel and the occasional lifting, carrying, positioning, and/or moving of objects weighing up to 20 pounds Requires the use of various electronic tools
