Aaron's Inc Sr. Compensation Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia

Summary:

Leads or serves as a subject matter expert on compensation-related projects and provides analytical support and project management in the delivery of compensation solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver day-to-day compensation activities such as job evaluation, pay administration, ad-hoc requests, and short-term projects.

  • Partner with HR business partners, Talent Acquisition, business leaders, and other internal stakeholders’ on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation.

  • Perform external benchmarking/job evaluations, prepare analysis and presentations to client groups.

  • Actively participate in the collaborative design and implementation of variable compensation plans.

  • Participate in the development, review, implementation, and administration of new/revised compensation programs.

  • Make cohesive recommendations to drive process improvements in order to advance compensation workflows and program delivery.

  • Responsible for completing compensation projects with little or no supervision/guidance.

  • Assist with the annual merit cycle.

  • Assist with any required communication and change management related to the administration of current plans or the revision or creation of new compensation programs.

  • Responsible for generating accurate and timely reports as requested.

  • May participate in modeling and costing of a variety of programs as well as the year-end calculation processes.

  • Support internal business leaders by researching and responding to questions, interpreting policies, and otherwise assisting with compensation-related issues.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or related field

  • Five (5) years of varied compensation experience (compensation analysis, job evaluation, salary and/or incentive administration) required

  • Certified Compensation Professional highly preferred

  • Advanced Excel proficiency required

Required Skills:

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to prioritize/work in an environment with competing demands, excellent attention to detail, and excellent customer service orientation.

  • Strong mathematical aptitude; strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact positively with internal customers

  • Ability to make decisions and operate independently with respect to complex issues and business requirements

  • Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and other complex formulas

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to build effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization

  • Strong organization, prioritization, project management and consulting skill set

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time

  • Must be a team player
