Job Description:
The Specialty Sales Executive (Medical Nutrition) will have responsibility for driving strategic brand growth among target specialists and prescribers, via live face to face and virtual interactions that coincide with specific expectations aligned with the post-acute channel. This role will work in partnership with National counterparts and other Specialty Sales Executives in the area, in accordance with the Sales strategy and plan. This role is also responsible for growing business relationships with key decision makers and influencers. The Specialty Sales Executive will be focused on specific targets with a carefully defined messaging strategy and call sequence, leveraging business and value solutions based on evidence, and outcome data within the GI, Pediatric, Allergy and Real Foods platforms.
• Territory Location : This role will cover the greater Atlanta, Georgia metro area and surrounding areas (up to 3 hours of commutable distance from Atlanta, GA) but will work remotely from home when not travelling in the field/territory.
Responsibilities:
• Meets/exceeds sales and profit objectives in assigned territory, sets territory and routing plans and creates access points for product availability early in the selling cycle.
• Focuses on driving strategic brand growth among target specialists, prescribers, and new accounts via live face to face & virtual interactions that coincide with specific expectations for each.
• Delivers financial benefits based on the evidence of research that translates to tangible cost saving for targeted accounts.
• Meets/exceeds required prescriber call activity within geography, effectively driving specialty sales.
• Contributes to meeting/exceeding national specialty sales and profit objectives for all channels.
• Creates and drives relationships within targeted geography including higher level stakeholders in order to gain buy-in for new patient starts.
• Engages in discussions around the home care environment and operate as a solution seller by aligning value with our strategic brands.
• Shares best practices with the broader Sales organization.
• Understands the healthcare environment and appropriately executes the selling process in a manner that is concise, compliant, professional and persuasive, and that also addresses a need and leads the customer to action.
• Demonstrates the ability to handle customer product questions and objections in a way that is consistent with sales training methodology.
• Plans and executes national strategy and action plans at the territory level in conjunction national counterparts.
• Utilizes the Sales reporting systems on a regular basis for call preparation, to record and track sales activity and to gather market intelligence data.
• Organizes meetings and deliver content to health care professionals on the topic of nutrition aligned with tangible account objects and metrics as defined by the customer.
• Participates in Nestle Health Science USA’s offered Sales training and in strategic medical conventions and exhibits as needed to expand product, market and science knowledge.
• Ability to attend in person meetings (i.e. national sales meetings, regional meetings and required Sales trainings).
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical or Health Science, Nursing, Business Administration, Marketing and/or in a related required.
• 2+ years of professional Medical or Clinical selling experience in an outpatient setting with demonstrated success in specialty medical products required, preferably with proven Sales success in GI, Pediatric or Infusion platforms.
• Demonstrated fluency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) required.
• Must have demonstrated success with launching and re-launching specialty products.
• Must have excellent communication (oral and written), presentation, organizational and stakeholder management skills (including the ability to develop and maintain strong, cross-functional stakeholder relationships).
• Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Must have strong attention to detail, possess strong time management and planning skills and must also be agile (including the ability to prioritize key tasks based on the needs of the business).
• Current or prior experience utilizing CRM and data systems including Viva, Salesforce and/or Power BI a plus.
• Experience in Sales with a background working in a Durable Medical Equipment or in Home Infusion/Home Health environment a plus.
• Willing and able to travel up to and including 75% within the assigned territory (up to 3 hours maximum from Atlanta, GA) required.
