Description

The Emory Autism Center provides problem-oriented and detailed patient assessments, emotional support, psychosocial counseling, and discharge planning across the lifespan. This position will assist in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Develops treatment plans, provides patient and family education and serves as a professional resource. In addition, this position will provide individual, family and group therapies. There are many professional development opportunities available to the person serving in this role. Applicants with appropriate licensure and experience are expected to be involved in training for students, interns, and fellows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides problem-oriented and detailed patient assessments, emotional support, psychosocial counseling, and discharge planning.

  • Assists in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

  • Develops treatment plans, provides patient and family education and serves as a professional resource.

  • Provides individual, family and group therapies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Master's of Social Work from an accredited school of social work.

  • Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia or license eligible.

  • Four years of social work experience is required.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
