Google Senior Program Manager, Professional Services in Atlanta, Georgia

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.

  • 10 years of experience in procurement and sourcing, with a focus on construction and professional services engagements.

  • 8 years of experience in program or project management.

  • 5 years of experience in construction procurement activities, including sourcing, contracting, due diligence, and procurement strategy development.

  • 5 years of experience with general contractor and vendor management, encompassing RFPs, bidding, contracting, and change orders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strategic consulting experience with experience in sourcing, category management, or procurement roles, with a focus on managing indirect spend categories.

  • Experience with the procurement of design and construction services for complex warehousing, critical infrastructure, or large-scale industrial facilities.

  • Experience with power management, power monitoring systems, and related technologies.

  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills, with the ability to present data-driven conclusions to senior leadership.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. As a Senior Program Manager, you will oversee the development and implementation of sourcing strategies and procedures for the data center construction category. You will serve as an internal consultant for Google Data Center and Equipment Supply Chain and may participate in cross-functional initiatives related to data center construction and the equipment supply chain cost optimization. You lead the strategic sourcing process for data center construction, optimizing cost, quality, and efficiencies that transform the data center construction cost model.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000-$248,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Identify, develop, and execute long-term sourcing strategies for professional services, encompassing construction, engineering, design, and other related disciplines.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with project goals and timelines, ensuring successful site launches and construction programs.

  • Own and achieve goals for cost savings, supplier performance, and process improvements within the Professional Services category.

  • Lead sourcing, contracting, and ongoing support activities, fostering strong commercial relationships with suppliers to achieve optimal cost and performance.
