TEKsystems Senior Product Content Designer in Atlanta, Georgia

Position: Sr Product Content Designer

Duration: 3+ months w2 contract (No C2C)

Location: 100% REMOTE

What you'll do:

  • In this role, you’ll map out the direction of content design for the user experience, our cloud-native data and analytics platform.

  • You’ll collaborate with design and product partners to create the holistic user experience, communicate the value and vision of our products to stakeholders and partners, and validate content decisions through style and voice and tone standards, customer empathy and understanding, and research and testing. Your content design decisions lead to growth and success for our products, customers, and company culture.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with designers to design the product experience through the creation of concept and terminology maps, journey maps, wireframes, task flows, and other deliverables, depending on the team and project needs.

  • Partner with product managers to understand user needs through engagement, design thinking-related methods for discovery, market and competitive research and analysis, and user testing.

  • Mix user, business, and technology needs to design conceptual models and understand and simplify complex systems. Also focus on streamlining and simplifying content in the interface, in help, and in documentation.

  • Apply content design research and thinking to draft user interface microcontent, such as labels, instruction copy, in-product education, in-product help, error messages, and other content.

  • Lead and participate in content strategy and design discussions about the organization and presentation of content. You’ll help decide not just what the content is but also where it lives and is most effective in the user experience.

  • Develop a deep understanding of our products and use that knowledge to identify content and design opportunities, such as innovative ways content can appear to guide and support customers.

  • Become a collaborative, resourceful partner for the business as it discusses product plans, and deliver content, design, and vision that help boost those plans to success.

  • Advocate for content design not just for delivering copy, but also for providing strategic insights about customer goals, business collaboration, taxonomy, information architecture, and other strategic product and design contributions.

  • Have an understanding of design and content tools, including content management systems and other tools that can help with content creation, delivery, and quality. (And, yes, this is the bullet item that specifically mentions AI. We’re using those tools too.)

  • Play a crucial role in refining content and design standards and integrating them into the design system. This work includes making the design system itself easy to use and navigate, contributing to the adoption of the system and faster go-to-market with consistent high quality.

  • Be you, and be user focused. That will lead to success in this role. And you’ll tap into your passion and skills as a writer and communicator every day.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

  • 6+ years professional experience in any of the following: product content design, UX writing, content strategy, or related field.

  • Are empathetic and able to connect with and understand user needs and desires.

  • Highly curious and inquisitive by nature, and eager to learn, discover, and innovate.

  • A portfolio showcasing your content design work and contributions toward various products.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong writing skills and the ability to discuss and share content design rationale.

  • Experience in implementing content and design thinking methods, user research principles, methodologies and deliverables.

  • Strong interpersonal skills that are used to build rapport and make connections easily with colleagues and our customers.

  • Ability to clearly and confidently share content and design recommendations, opinions, and goals.

  • Experience working on SaaS-based initiatives and/or companies.

  • Ability to navigate and succeed in an undefined problem space.

  • Strong organizational skills and can handle balancing multiple projects at a time.
