Are you detail-oriented and passionate about ensuring seamless payroll operations? We have a client looking to bring someone on to their team and take ownership of their payroll process, ensuring that payroll transactions are processed accurately and on time using Paycor and ADP Canada. As the payroll expert, you will manage state and other necessary registrations, handle payroll-related notices from regulatory authorities, and assist with onboarding and termination processes. You'll also be responsible for processing payroll for specific entities, managing state and local tax registrations, and responding to payroll inquiries from the Operations Team and employees/contractors. salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the payroll process to ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely, on a semi-monthly

  • basis, within Paycor and ADP Canada.

  • Ownership of State and other registrations necessary to accurately and timely process payroll; management and monitoring of notices received from payroll regulatory authorities.

  • Assisting with onboarding and termination processes withing Paycor

  • Assisting with payroll processing for certain entities and payrolls

  • Assisting with state and local tax registrations

  • Monitoring and responding to the payroll email inbox

  • Assisting Operations Team and Employees/Contractors with payroll specific questions

  • Reconciles payroll to the general ledger and the recording of journal entries in the Company's NetSuite Accounting system.

  • Processes quarterly and year-end regulatory reporting when necessary (W-2, ACA, LOI, etc.).

  • Processes payroll reporting for employee stock-based compensation.

  • Collaborates with the Director of HR and Sr. HRIS Specialist to maintain and improve the Company's payroll related filing system.

  • Collaborates with the Sr. HRIS Specialist on improvements to Paycor and other payroll related systems

  • Collaborates on and complies with procedures for both independent contractors and new employee hires

  • Administers changes in employee benefits deductions and contributions (HSA, 401K, etc.).
