White Cap Senior Manager, Real Estate Finance and Strategy in Atlanta, Georgia

Responsible for the company’s real estate financial strategy and planning, focusing on branches, distribution centers, and other critical facilities. Demonstrates deep expertise in real estate finance, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to align the real estate portfolio with the company’s broader operational and strategic objectives. Leads key initiatives related to footprint strategies, real estate business cases, and performance optimization, while providing strategic insights to senior leadership.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Lead the strategic planning and financial analysis for the company’s real estate portfolio, with a focus on optimizing distribution network efficiency and supporting business growth.

Oversee the financial modeling and evaluation of potential real estate investments, leases, and development projects.

Develop and implement long-term real estate strategies that align with the company’s operational, logistical, and strategic goals.

Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, including supply chain, logistics, operations, and finance, to ensure that real estate decisions support the broader business strategy.

Prepare and present strategic reports and recommendations to senior management, highlighting market trends, opportunities, risks, and financial projections.

Monitor and analyze the performance of real estate assets, identifying opportunities for optimization, cost savings, and improved operational efficiency.

Drive continuous improvement in real estate processes, systems, and tools, ensuring that the real estate portfolio is aligned with evolving market conditions and business priorities.

Lead and mentor a team of real estate finance professionals, providing support, guidance, and development opportunities to enhance team performance.

Stay informed on market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to proactively advise the business on real estate strategies and opportunities.

Nature and Scope

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.

  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.

  • Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid or Remote Opportunities Available Based on Location. Eligible candidates residing in the greater Atlanta area will be asked to work 2x a week in our new Headquarters.

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally, 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with financial software or tools (e.g., CoStar, OneStream)

  • Familiarity with the latest trends and technologies in real estate management and logistics.

  • Proven track record in leading real estate finance strategy, with experience managing a portfolio of distribution or operational assets.

  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, investment analysis, and strategy deployment.

  • Deep understanding of supply chain and logistics operations, and the role real estate plays in supporting business efficiency and growth.

  • Exceptional leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and real estate-specific financial software (e.g., CoStar).

  • Ability to think strategically, lead change, and manage multiple, high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
