Job Purpose Summary: Senior Manager Product Development aRTD

Located in Atlanta, the Global Development and Innovation (GDI) center is pivotal to The Coca‐Cola Company's innovation in beverages across multiple categories (sparkling, juices, iced teas, ...) and covering, product development, packaging & equipment development. As a Senior Manager Product Developer, you will lead a program of projects of the aRTD Category for North America (US and Canada), contributing to our portfolio's growth by developing new or enhancing existing beverages. You will support the development of a strategy for the department and the category. This role offers a unique blend of local and global impact, demanding technical expertise, creativity, flexibility, and an eye for future trends as well as strong digital savvy and collaboration skills to leverage Coca-Cola global network of expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Work with legal, supply chain, regulatory affairs, quality, global SMEs, and marketing teams to oversee product enhancements and innovations.

  • Strategy and Decision Making: Contribute to product portfolio strategy with global and Red Tree Beverages teams, influencing decisions and aligning projects with category strategy while ensuring quality, timing, and budget targets.

  • Innovation and Prototyping: Develop and supervise lab-scale prototypes, conduct sensory tests, and lead pilot-scale productions. Use statistical methods, digital tools, and innovative approaches for efficient product development.

  • Communication and Collaboration: Report project outcomes and insights effectively, provide technical recommendations, and present program outcomes to senior leaders.

  • System and Market Understanding: Possess deep knowledge of Coca-Cola's system from bottling operations to global supply chains, translating trends into compelling product propositions.

  • Sustainability and Technology Integration: Incorporate sustainability principles and digital tools early in development to map impacts, manage risks, and unlock future opportunities.

  • External Focus and Market Insights: Stay informed about emerging risks, new technologies, competitor strategies, and market trends. Use digital tools for insights, concept development, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • At least 8 years successful product development experience in the beverages industry or 4-6 successful experience in food industry.

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Post-Graduate degree in food science, chemistry, or related field.

  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in an additional language preferred.

  • Willing to travel up to 20% annually.

  • Experience in alcohol industry desirable

  • Stakeholder management, innovation leadership and strategic decision making.

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and experimental design.

  • Ability to guide and inspire more junior team members.

  • Proficiency to navigate within diverse ways of working. Embodying empathy and adeptness in conflict resolution.

Pay Range:$120,000 - $149,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.

Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage:15

Annual Incentive reference value is a market-based competitive value for your role. It falls in the middle of the range for your role, indicating performance at target.
