POSITION SCOPE:

The Information Technology Senior Manager – IT Program Management Office (PMO) provides strategic leadership and oversight for the PMO and is located at GPI’s Global Headquarters in Sandy Springs, Georgia. This role partners with IT and business leaders to ensure effective program and project coordination and execution of technology-based projects to meet business objectives. Responsibilities include managing multiple programs within the global IT portfolio, overseeing project intake processes, prioritizing projects, and planning resources. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional departments, excellent communication, and exceptional relationship management skills.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and execute the strategic roadmap for the IT PMO with a high focus on streamlining, optimization, and greater project throughput.

  • Manage IT department managers and oversee IT personnel and external project managers.

  • Lead corporate and regional portfolio reviews to support company and business partner objectives.

  • Drive project/portfolio compliance and develop & maintain a consistent approach to project/program reporting

  • Develop relationships with business partners, portfolio leaders, project managers, and external partners.

  • Collaborate with business and IT leadership on project intake, vetting, prioritization, and translating business objectives into effective project planning and execution.

  • Align with corporate New Product Development (NPD) leadership to optimize NPD project performance.

  • Produce portfolio dashboards, KPI scorecards and key performance reports.

  • Use Waterfall and Agile methodologies to improve project planning and execution; promote across the organization.

  • Drive continuous improvement in PMO and project processes through customer satisfaction input, objective measuring, setting realistic targets, and with execution to achieve.

  • Set and measure lead-time expectation targets for project lifecycle process gates and stages.

  • Ensure program and portfolio dependencies, risks are identified and proactively managed effectively.

  • Effectively promote capacity planning and forecasting – measure & report actual vs. forecast and proactively resolve exceptions.

  • Ensure project benefits are defined and measured to verify realization.

  • Ensure compliance with technology standards and processes.

  • Serve as the point of escalation for project delivery issues.

  • Develop and facilitate division community meetings and project steering committees.

  • Promote IT framework, governance, and processes.

  • Adapt to a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

  • Communicate effectively across all organizational levels.

  • Simplify complex issues and build consensus.

  • Create a high-performance work environment.

  • Partner with audit entities to ensure compliance.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

  • This position is located at GPI Global Headquarters, Sandy Springs, Georgia. The candidate must be located in the Atlanta area, or willing to relocate within a reasonable time of hire.

  • Minimum 10 years of IT experience in project, program, and portfolio management.

  • Experience managing large portfolios or programs with multiple stakeholders within a multi-national corporation.

  • Effective communication across organizational levels.

  • Experience with PMO and project management best practices.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with project and program management technology platforms.

  • Strong executive presentation, listening, negotiation, and influencing skills.

  • Desired certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Professional (PMI-ACP).

  • Understanding of IT Service Management structures (ITIL).

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Master’s Degree preferred.

  • This position follows a hybrid work schedule. The candidate must be willing to work in-office a minimum of three days per week and remotely the remaining two.

ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Up to 20% travel, including international.

Pay Range: $136,185.00 - $181,545.00
