The Coca-Cola Company Senior Director, Greenfield Manufacturing and Startup Program in Atlanta, Georgia

We are on a multi-year modernization journey to deliver growth and productivity initiatives. As part of this, there is a plan to build several greenfield sites around the world with state-of-the-art capabilities that will be operated by high performing teams. We are looking for a leader who can deliver this ambition by ensuring that the equipment and people systems deliver the manufacturing and supply chain targets through design and startup. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in manufacturing, advanced digital and automation technologies, and startup of new systems ideally in a greenfield environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Standards: Create the strategic vision of the plants of the future from manufacturing and people systems point of view. Own and continuously update the blueprint based on project insights and external learnings. This blueprint will include manufacturing standards, startup strategy, standards for executing startups and turnover from startup to ongoing operations. This person will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies, such as IoT, AI, robotics, and automation, to deliver productivity targets and both technologies and people readiness for ongoing operation. Similarly, this person will drive adoption of quality and sustainability best practices into greenfield design and operation.

  • Design: Provide input into the design to ensure that the equipment, materials, people and methods are in line with the blueprint. This includes close partnership with equipment suppliers, equipment platform teams, operational excellence and QSE teams.

  • Startup: Support through startup experts who can ensure that the systems are implemented with the right standards and capability to deliver Vertical Startup, as well as coach the startup team on ground.

This person will lead a team of 5-8 and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, as well as work across internal and external partners in including engineering, supply chain, QSE, finance, and regulatory bodies, to ensure the right long term greenfield design .

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Business Administration with proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or TPM

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations and project management, with at least 5 years in a director or above role, ideally in consumer goods or food and beverage industry

  • Proven track record of successfully managing manufacturing startups and greenfield projects, driving operational excellence.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and Industry 4.0 technologies.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, multicultural environment across different time zones.

Pay Range:$167,000 - $199,700

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.

Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage:30

Annual Incentive reference value is a market-based competitive value for your role. It falls in the middle of the range for your role, indicating performance at target.
