The role.

Innomotics Weiss Spindle Service in the Mentor, OH, facility is looking for a Repair Technician in our development and manufacturing of high-precision motor spindle units. Do you have a mechanical background and have a passion for rebuilding things? In this position, you will be responsible for disassembly, inspection, and cleaning of precision machine tool spindles. Machine repair or auto repair experience could be transitioned well. Mechanical skills and the ability to use precision measuring equipment are helpful. We will train the right candidate.

Your profile.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform initial inspections on incoming spindle units

  • Disassemble and clean machine tool spindles

  • Oscilloscope to test encoder systems

The successful candidate will need to bring the following skills/abilities:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Experience with electric motors or automotive repair

  • Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching

  • May require heavy lifting

  • Ability to read mechanical drawings

  • Basic Hands on electrical and mechanical skills

  • General Computer Knowledge

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills

  • Excellent time leadership skills, the ability to prioritize and lead numerous projects

  • Proactive to work productively, efficiently and prioritize duties

  • Work Overtime as needed

The pay range for this position is $18 - $20 an hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
