Description We are in search of a Public Staff Tax Accountant to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. The selected individual will be relied upon for their expertise in tax law and accounting, with a focus on individual and business clients. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity in a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare intricate individual and business tax returns, incorporating various forms and credits

• Foster and nurture long-standing relationships with clients, offering expert advice on tax matters

• Stay abreast of the ever-changing tax laws to ensure compliance

• Utilize UltraTax Plus (preferred) and other tax software tools with proficiency

• Collaborate effectively in a small office setting, contributing to a positive team environment

• Manage multiple tax returns, providing accurate and timely advice to clients

• Utilize accounting software systems such as CaseWare, CCH IntelliConnect, CCH Prosystem, and CCH ProSystem Fx

• Handle a variety of accounting functions, including auditing and compliance

• Assist with entity formation and financial statement preparation. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of public staff tax accounting

• Proficient in accounting software systems for efficient and accurate data management

• Demonstrated expertise in using CaseWare for auditing and financial reporting

• Proven ability in utilizing CCH IntelliConnect for tax research and compliance

• Experience in the application of CCH Prosystem for tax management

• Proficiency in using CCH ProSystem Fx for tax preparation and compliance

• Solid understanding of accounting functions and principles

• Proven experience in conducting audits and ensuring compliance with financial regulations

• Experience in entity formation for business and tax purposes

• Proficient in preparing and analyzing financial statements to assess financial performance.
