DESCRIPTION

About the Job ALTA Language Services is seeking a skilled Proposal Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality proposals, coordinating pursuit efforts, and supporting our operational, sales and marketing teams. This role requires exceptional writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Read RFQ/P Documents: Thoroughly review RFQ/P documents and prepare proposal checklists listing client submission requirements.
  • Proposal Development: Lead pursuit teams on kickoff calls to develop winning strategies, assign team responsibilities, and establish deadlines.
  • Presentation Preparation: Prepare presentations and coach technical teams for client interviews.
  • Lead Tracking: Track future project leads and update information regularly in the tracking database.
  • Collaboration: Work with operations and marketing team to develop comprehensive materials highlighting ALTAs staff and capabilities.
  • Research and Materials Gathering: Conduct background research and gather/tailor supporting materials.
  • Graphic Development: Work with the marketing team to develop high-impact graphics for proposals and presentations.
  • Quality Control: Provide quality control review of proposals and marketing content.
  • Submission Preparation: Assemble and send proposals and/or prepare electronic submission files as needed.
  • Teaming Partner Coordination: Coordinate with teaming partners and respond to external requests for proposal information.
  • Win/Loss Ratio:Track proposal opportunities for win/loss rate, rationale for win or loss, and continuous improvement suggestions to increase win rate.
  • Content Development:Maintain updated content, such as frequently asked questions and proposal templates, to ensure swift completion of RFPs.
  • Project Management:After reviewing requirements with key stakeholders, stay engaged with all team members (e.g., legal, marketing, operations, IT) to ensure all content is complete and reviewed for on-time submission.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Education/Training Degree: Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience Proven experience in proposal writing or a related role.

Salary Current pay range for the position of Proposal Writer: from $67,801 to $84,901 per year ($32.60 to $40.82 per hour). Actual pay depends on several factors, including but not limited to level of education, knowledge, skills, qualifications, certifications, previous experience in similar positions, market pay rates, comparable salaries, geographical location, jobs availability, budget availability, revenue etc.

Benefits Ability to work full time remotely $750 first year then $500 per year towards a work from home office set up.
