The Product Owner, IFS Crew Assist will be part of a team that dreams up the next big idea to support Delta’s ambition to become a customer-centric, customer experience-driven company.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end product ownership duties including understanding the business problem, identifying stakeholder needs, and developing optimal solutions

  • Understanding the business and technology vision and translate it into strategy and requirements so that products meet the business’s needs

  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes and propose potential action plans

  • Support the modernization of IFS Crew Assist applications that are dependent on crew profile data and information

  • Prepare internal communications that include ad hoc reports, executive summaries, and formal presentations to senior leaders

  • Develop subject matter expertise of both the Flight Attendant digital experience both as a working crew member and non-working crew member and the Moderator team that supports the Flight Attendants to translate into optimal design and development

  • Lead sessions to collaborate with Flight Attendants and/or the Crew Assist Moderators to define the business requirements to meet the Application needs for the Crew Assist App.

  • Implement configuration tasks per agreed upon design specifications.

  • Facilitate key meetings with Developers, Crew Assist Leaders (Moderators) and FAs such as requirement sessions, system demos, user acceptance testing or end user training.

  • Assist with the identification and analysis of bug fixes/ issues.

  • Build and maintain an executable product roadmap that balances business value, funding, cross-initiative dependencies, and development complexity that guides current and future development

  • Lead phases of project management, including requirements gathering, development prioritization, and implementation of strategies

  • Prioritize product backlog, projects, and initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups so that IT is working on the right things

  • Write functional user stories and acceptance criteria that enable a smooth handoff to development

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies with development teams to provide direction and drive progress

  • Model Delta's Rules of the Road and core values

  • Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures

  • Participate in defining system integration and user-acceptance test plans.

  • Create FA JobAids for the Application.

  • Play an integral role in engagement, communication, change management, feedback loops, and overall leadership visibility across the IFS Crew Assist App.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner (or similar role), in a dynamic agile environment

  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency in written and oral communications and ability to produce concise, relevant, documents and presentations.

  • Curious mindset, willing to ask "why" until root causes of use cases are identified.

  • Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Experience in creation and design, or management of technology systems.

  • Prior experience as an agile product manager/owner preferred.

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification. Must have strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong knowledge of Delta Flight Attendant Job Functionality/Role.
