IHG On-Call Massage Therapist in Atlanta, Georgia

JOB OVERVIEW:

Provides massage and body treatments for guests based on standard protocols while educating guests on benefits of spa services and home care.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide a variety of services based on standard protocols while educating guests on benefits of spa services and home care.

  • Works within time limits to provide a customized spa experience for guests.

  • Maintain hotel-appropriate retail to service ratios.

  • Escort guests around the spa and answer questions about the facility.

  • Maintain spa facilities to standards including stocking linens and products, as well as cleaning equipment and spa area.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

This job requires ability to perform the following:

  1. Continuous standing up

  2. Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds

  3. Extensive work with hands and arms

  4. Able to create a relaxing environment for guests.

  5. Adheres to hotel appearance and conduct standards.

Other:

  • Graduation from a state approved massage school with a minimum of 500 hours.

  • Have a valid state license.

  • Training in a variety of massage modalities.

  • Able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Able to complete 4-5 treatments consecutively.

  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with clients and guests.

  • Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often.

  1. Reading and writing abilities are utilized often.

  2. Basic math skills are used frequently.

  3. May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
