How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

Supply Chain Management is responsible for sourcing and managing contracts in support of Business Units. This position builds and sustains relationships with business leaders, suppliers and sourcing professionals.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES (NOT COMPREHENSIVE OF ALL TASKS):

  • Required to lead cross-functional teams

  • Must develop and execute sourcing strategies to align with the business unit's goals, provide Delta with optimum value, and maintain supply assurance

  • Leads supplier RFPs, negotiations, and supplier selection

  • Manages ongoing contract compliance and commercial relationships with suppliers; identifying and pursuing savings strategies

  • Develops both strategic & tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being

  • Some travel is required

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Current MBA Student.

  • Students must have a planned MBA program graduation date by the Summer of 2025.

  • At least three years of post-undergraduate work experience in a dynamic, professional environment or relevant military experience.

  • Must be able to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the internship.

  • Curiosity about the airline industry

  • Analytical and creative problem solvers

  • Consistent track record of excellence

  • Ability to excel in fast-paced, matrix-team environment

  • Ideal candidates have strong analytical, leadership, written and verbal communication skills

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

  • Ideal candidates have strong analytical, leadership, written and verbal communication skills and have demonstrated to be a collaborator and creative problem-solver. with a concentration in Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Strategy, or another analytical field.
