Position Summary

• Performs duties such as sorting, distributing, collecting, and metering postal materials in accordance with established procedures and applicable Federal postal regulations.

• Advises employees as to the most efficient and economical methods of mailing postal materials.

• Assists in preparing mail sorting/processing for daily operation.

• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

• Knowledge of postal regulations, including rates, envelope sizes, express mail procedures, classes of mail, and packing requirements.

• Ability to learn the MSM organizational structure to expedite the distribution of incoming and outgoing mail with dispatch and accuracy.

• Ability to use postal equipment.

• Ability to establish effective working relationships with co-workers and other various levels of personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma required.

• 6 months of delivery or filing experience or one-year general work experience.

Immunization Requirements

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
