Overview

We are looking for a Legal Operations Manager to join our team. This position will directly report to the EVP General Counsel & Corporate Secretary and is responsible for coordinating and performing a diverse set of support tasks to ensure the legal department and staff have the resources needed to operate smoothly and efficiently.

  • Transcribe, proofread, and file legal documents before deadlines

  • Serve as backup for office functions including answering, screening, and directing phone calls; managing mail, and printing and copying documents

  • Administrator for databases such as DataSites (nTracts, CounselLink, Nasdaq, ComplianceLine, ExamWorks and hCUe)

  • Schedule meetings, manage changes to a schedule, and keep attorneys informed of the day’s activities

  • Ensures files are maintained and destroyed in compliance with record retention policies and procedures

About You

A successful candidate will need:

  • Knowledge of in-house legal department or law firm experience preferred

  • 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in a legal department or similar department with at least one year of supervisory or lead responsibility

  • Possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Practice good judgement

  • Able to keep discussions, projects, files, and proceedings confidential
