Description

Our client is seeking a permanent full-time Litigation Legal Assistant to join their law firm in Atlanta, Georgia. This role will support 3-5 attorneys in their business/commercial litigation practice group. Key responsibilities include state and federal court efiling, creating legal documents, court procedures and eDiscovery.

• State and federal electronic filing

• Assist in the creation, editing, proofreading, and processing of legal documents, including correspondence, memoranda, closing documents, pleadings, or other practice-specific documents

• Manage electronic filing and eDiscovery processes

• Maintain legal files in both paper and electronic format, ensuring they are organized and updated regularly

• Oversee the delivery of documents and track final executed documentation

• Field telephone calls for supported attorneys, conveying messages as necessary and communicating with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and liaisons

• Collaborate with Administrative Support Coordinators, Paralegals, and other legal support team members

• Leverage firm resources effectively for desired results

• Assist with administrative tasks such as attorney time entry, travel arrangements, and processing invoices and expenses

• Recognize and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information

• Handle tasks under pressure to meet strict deadlines

• Support with overflow work and other special projects as assigned.

Requirements

5-8+ years of experience in a litigation legal support related role within a law firm
