Sharp Electronics Corporation Government & Major Account Manager - SE Coastal Region in Atlanta, Georgia

Overview

The Government and Major Account Manager is responsible for all territory development and sales of Sharp corporate digital copier, printer, Smart Office Solutions, and Display products available to our channel partners. With a vertical focus on Federal/State/Local Government Accounts, Educational Institutions,and Medical facilities. This person will also be responsible for working with the Channel in promoting Major Account Programs and securing new Major Account transactions to Major/Mid Major commercial accounts within an assigned territory.

This position is covering the Southeast Coastal Region and can be worked remotely from any of the following markets: DE, VA, West VA, MD, NC, SC, GA, KY

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales revenue and unit budget for assigned quota.

  • Manage forecasted and planned budget levels with emphasis on revenues, productivity levels, and unit placements.

  • Manage the overall bid and proposal process for the territory in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

  • Introduce and implement SIICA marketing and financial programs to identify and drive incremental and repeatable business into new and existing install base.

  • Assist with sales calls for major end-user customers with Sharp Dealers

  • Create and conduct training and sales meetings within the territory to introduce new programs and developments in products, policies, and procedures.

  • Prepare and submit required business plans, activity reports and forecasts in a timely manner.

  • Primary point-of-contact for Dealers Government and Major Accounts teams.

  • Develop strategies together with Directors and TBM’s to target and increase sales by dealer and by market.

  • Schedule activities in dealer targeted accounts with dealer’s salespeople on a weekly basis. This would include but not be limited to presentations and demonstrations to end users.

  • Effective communication of Sharp Government and Major Account programs and promotions to dealers. This is to be accomplished via email and dealer visits with dealership management and sales teams.

  • Responsible for identifying and qualifying long-term and short-term business opportunities and pro-actively identifying and addressing competitive threats.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Sharp products both hardware and software along with industry trends, technical developments, industry issues, concerns.

  • Assume responsibility for accurate major account sales forecasting by demonstrating in depth knowledge of sales cycles from initial contact through the procurement process, ensure SalesForce is utilized appropriately and consistently maintained.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with assigned dealer and major accounts.

  • Timely follow up and resolution of dealer/major account issues, including timely backup documentation submission.

  • Cooperation with all Sharp organizations in supporting dealers and major accounts.

  • Work closely with Dealer Development manager to train and support all new dealers.

  • Work with the State procurement offices in the covered states. Work with the marketing team to ensure Sharp is properly represented at the state level.

  • Work with the marketing team on all Cooperative Contracts based in the territory

Qualifications

  • College degree in business or marketing or equivalent experience is preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years successful Government, Educational or Major Account sales experience selling office technology directly to the consumer.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact successfully with employees at all levels across the organization and in the dealer community.

  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Salesforce

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Must be a highly motivated; detail oriented and organized team player with the ability to multi-task.

  • Must be able to travel up to 80% of the time within assigned territory (DE, MD, VA, NC, SC, GA,KY).

C ompensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is$61,410-$123,100. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
