Aaron's Inc FP&A Senior Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia

Summary:

The Senior Analyst, FP&A, will support the FP&A team, while assisting in the creation and maintenance of the company-wide financial plan. This position will need to attain a deep understanding of the rent-to-own industry. This role will have high visibility and exposure within the organization and will collaborate with subject matter experts both within Finance and across the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the financial planning and analysis team in the development and implementation of forecasting models that capture underlying business dynamics to assist in the management of the company

  • Create and maintain company-wide financial plan, including monthly and quarterly updates to projections throughout the fiscal year

  • Provide detailed variance analysis of results and analytical support to the company’s strategic initiatives

  • Track and analyze forecasts vs. budget; identifying key risks and opportunities; ensure all risks and opportunities are appropriately reflected in the forecast and forward projections

  • Analyze financial information on an ad-hoc basis to provide clear, accurate and timely financial decision support to management

  • Create reports and metrics for daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational tracking

  • Assist with key management presentations

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or another quantitative/analytical field

  • 3-5 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or analytical role

  • Experience creating complex spreadsheets, pivot tables, and models in Excel

  • Experience creating and editing executive-level presentations in PowerPoint

  • SQL or similar data management system experience

  • Experience in Enterprise Performance Management system administration (Anaplan experience preferred, but not required)

Required Skills:

  • Proven ability to work independently

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • High financial acumen, including an applied understanding of the three-statement financial model

  • High level of discretion when dealing with sensitive information

  • Critical thinking– Understanding of the issues related to the decision-making process; ability to analyze situations fully and accurately, and reach productive decisions
