Position Summary

Job Summary

The Finance Data Analytics and Systems Manager will lead the integration and management of financial data systems and analytics within the organization. This role involves overseeing the collection, storage, and analysis of financial data, ensuring the accuracy and availability of financial information, and developing reports and dashboards to support decision-making. The manager will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial systems, improve processes, and drive operational efficiency. Ensure that the organization is following the school’s policy and maintain internal control of financial data. This position provides informational system support to the daily operations of data analytics through consultation, data analysis, and data maintenance.

Financial Data Management

· Oversee the collection, storage, and maintenance of financial data within enterprise systems ( ERP , accounting software, etc.).

· Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data by implementing effective data governance policies and procedures.

· Manage data integration between financial systems and other operational systems.

· Data Analytics & Reporting

· Develop and maintain financial dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for executive decision-making.

· Conduct data analysis to identify financial trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or performance improvement.

· Collaborate with finance and business teams to create customized financial reports and analytics tools.

· Serve as liaison between Finance and Information Technology to organize, analyze and import physical inventory data

· Provide analysis and research in support of the current business model, new business initiatives, and new projects

· Prepare monthly statistical reports, maintain validation tables, rules, forms, and Banner control reports

· Ad hoc projects as assigned

Systems Management

· Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of financial systems and tools.

· Work with IT to ensure that finance systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational needs.

· Oversee the administration and maintenance of financial software, ensuring system updates, troubleshooting, and user support.

· Process Improvement & Automation

· Analyze and streamline financial processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

· Develop standardized dashboard and monthly, quarterly reporting.

· Identify and implement automation solutions for financial reporting, data reconciliation, and transaction processing.

· Maintain (edit/update) Finance website

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, HR, operations, and other departments, to align financial data analytics with broader business objectives.

· Provide training and support to end-users on financial systems and tools.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for financial data queries and system issues.

Compliance & Security

· Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and internal policies related to data handling and reporting.

· Work with the IT security team to maintain the security and confidentiality of financial data.

· Manage and maintain ERP (Banner or other) Finance user security profiles

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT :

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

  • No or very limited physical effort required.

  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk.

    Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related

field

· 5+ years of experience in finance data management, analytics, or systems administration.

· Strong knowledge of financial systems (e.g., SAP , Oracle, Workday, or similar ERP systems).

· Expertise in financial data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau,

Excel, SQL ).

· Experience with process automation tools and technologies.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong project management and organizational skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

· Knowledge of data governance, financial regulations, and compliance standards.

· Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.

· Must be able to process information with high level of accuracy and prioritize job duties

Preferred Qualifications

· Master’s degree or MBA is a plus

· Background in Accounting a plus

· 3 years people management experience

Banner experience (or another ERP ) is preferred.

Immunization Requirements

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
