Our client, a leader in the machine manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician that brings a minimum of 4 years of experience with laser, press brake, flat sheet, bending or similar machine tools.

This position requires 100% travel to customer sites nationwide to install, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, emergency repairs, and service of equipment. Must have Mechanical and Electrical knowledge: read blueprints, schematics and familar with electrical panels. Hourly position with OT, 30/hr- 40/hr DOE.

** Must live within 1hr from an international airport.

** CNC installation, troubleshoot and maintenance required!

** Mazak, Trumpf and Amada machine experience highly preferred!!

responsibilities:

  • Support Sales Staff: Assist the sales team in servicing equipment and providing technical support to customers.

  • Installation: Install new equipment at customer sites, ensuring proper setup and functionality.

  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, conduct emergency repairs, and provide on-site service for equipment as needed.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all service activities, including current service performed and future service requirements for equipment.

  • Customer Satisfaction: Prioritize excellent customer service and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction during interactions.

  • Software Demonstration: Demonstrate relevant software capabilities to customers as needed.

  • Administrative Tasks: Prepare timesheets, service reports, and installation forms promptly and accurately. Keep track of expenses and complete expense reports in a timely manner.

  • Safety: Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to OSHA/MIOSHA guidelines.

  • Interdepartmental Communication: Collaborate and communicate effectively with other departments as necessary to resolve technical issues.

  • Flexibility: Be willing to work overtime when required by workload and customer needs.
