Overview:
The Retail Applications Support Executive Director will oversee the support and maintenance of all retail applications within the organization. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless operation of our retail technology infrastructure, enhancing user experience, driving operational efficiency and requires a strategic and results-driven leader with strong operational oversight, technical expertise , and cross-functional collaboration skills . The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of retail operations and will be responsible for driving system reliability, optimizing support processes, partnering with development to improve the products, and ensuring best-in-class service delivery to meet business objectives .
Responsibilities:
Management:
Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting professional growth and development.
Manage budgets, resources, and staffing to meet operational needs.
Leadership and Strategy:
Develop and implement strategies for the support and maintenance of retail applications.
Lead and mentor a team of support professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with senior leadership to align technology initiatives with business goals.
Application Support:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail applications support team.
Ensure timely resolution of application issues and incidents, minimizing downtime and disruption.
Implement best practices for incident management, problem resolution, and change management.
Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for retail application support, liaising with customers, internal stakeholders, and external vendors.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key business units to understand their needs and provide effective support.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor application performance and user satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement.
Develop and present regular reports on application support metrics and performance to senior management.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of retail application support.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending and implementing innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in information technology , Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in application support, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the retail or related industry.
Technical Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of retail applications and systems, including POS, ERP, CRM, and e-commerce platforms.
Proficiency in incident management, problem resolution, and change management processes.
Leadership and Communication:
Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Analytical and Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
