Job Description:
Manages environmental projects including review of environmental due diligence reports and contracting and oversight of external environmental consultants retained to perform Phase I EASs. Provides technical insight and input to area analysts and maintains technical and regulatory proficiency for area.
Job Description Summary:
This job is responsible for supporting a dynamic commercial real estate environmental risk assessment process that evaluates the client's real estate assets to determine existing or potential environmental risks that could impact asset values and jeopardize loan repayment. The successful candidate will possess the necessary technical skills and relevant experience to execute the process at a high level.
Role Responsibilities:
This position is primarily responsible for the procurement of third-party environmental assessments and related internal client support activities, resolving inconsistencies/discrepancies in assessment recommendations, and providing subject matter expertise and counsel to credit and lending teams.
Specific Responsibilities may include:
Validate requested environmental assessment scopes of work against policy requirements
Execute third-party procurement activities from order through fulfillment
Monitor and troubleshoot third-party orders to ensure timely delivery of services
Resolve disputes regarding policy requirements and environmental assessments
Monitor department service levels
Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent
Technical Competencies Include:
Working knowledge of environmental site assessment services for commercial real estate is strongly preferred
Strong Microsoft Office skillset with specific proficiency using in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Effectively packages and communicates complex content and information.
Able to work independently
Minimum Candidate Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant experience to include validating third-party service requests and procuring technical services ; Experience working for an environmental engineering firm strongly preferred
Significant business knowledge of risk management and regulatory interactions
Demonstrates strong analytical and organizational skills; focuses on attention to detail
