Meta Engineering Leader - NPE Creative Tools in Atlanta, Georgia

Summary:

New Product Experimentation (NPE) is a team of entrepreneurial builders at Meta, embodying our company's goal to “build new experiences that meaningfully improve people's lives today and set the stage for even bigger improvements in the future.” Our core beliefs are that creative expression is a main part of being human and brings people closer together, that technology will increase the creative input-to-output ratio, and that artificial intelligence can give creators new and interesting superpowers.As an Engineering Leader in NPE you will lead, manage, inspire, and grow a diverse team responsible for building new, standalone creative tools, partnering with research, design, and data science. You will collaborate deeply with experts and other leaders across Meta including our partner teams on Meta Music and Instagram Reels as NPE embarks on building next-generation creation tools.

Required Skills:

Engineering Leader - NPE Creative Tools Responsibilities:

  1. Be a highly technical manager with experience building mobile apps

  2. Tech leadership to develop, evaluate, understand, and implement cutting-edge AI solutions for new mobile creative tools

  3. Lead, coach, and grow a diverse team responsible for building mobile products

  4. Drive the execution of complex products intersecting multiple teams in the company

  5. Set clear expectations and create north-star aspirational goals

  6. Develop a positive work environment based on accountability and impact

  7. Work with cross-functional partners to define strategy, increase proximity to the communities we’re building for, and validate our solutions with data

  8. Collaborate across engineering disciplines and geographies

  9. Recruit world-class talent, managers, and provide mentorship to team members

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field

  2. 6+ years professional experience architecting, developing, and shipping software products and/or services

  3. 3+ years experience managing cross-functional engineering teams

  4. Experience thriving in a dynamic environment where goals and requirements may be changing

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience productionizing emerging AI models on mobile devices

  2. Experience with audio and video engineering

  3. Experience building creative tools

Public Compensation:

$253,000/year to $327,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
