Epicurean Atlanta Hotel is currently seeking an experienced hospitality professional to lead our Finance Team as a Director of Finance is a fun and professional atmosphere!

Along with providing leadership for the property finance teams, the Director of Finance will oversee all accounting functions, including timely and accurate reporting, audits, analysis and processing of transactions. Mainsail is keen on implementing technology solutions to minimize the daily grind of a typical accounting team, therefore, experience and comfort with the following types of software: budgeting, forecasting/ back-office accounting/automated accounts payable /labor management/ ADP and other hospitality technology platforms will be valued in this role.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will be varied and never boring!

Establishes and maintains a positive and collaborative working relationship with all teams in overseeing property-based accounting processes.

Reviews Financial Statements prior to their distribution, challenging and questioning items where appropriate.

Monitors labor costs and all expenses, making recommendations as needed for improvement and to maximize profitability.

Assists in managing hotel cash flow, monitors guest ledgers, accounts receivable and credit processes.

Implements technology solutions, pulls it through at all properties.

Ensures consistency across the portfolio in report formats, timing and reporting standards.

Monitors balance sheet reconciliations to ensure items are supported and cleared in a timely manner.

Works with external auditors to complete annual audits and reviews.

Takes lead role in hotel openings to ensure all Finance and Accounting matters are addressed and complete.

Communicates and works with Hotel Owners and Investors.

Travels when and where needed to save the day…keeping financial processes running smoothly and/or to cover open financial leader positions when needed.

What You Will Need to Succeed (hey, that rhymes!):

4-year bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting or related major preferred

Minimum of 2 years as a successful Divisional/Regional Controller at the Corporate level, overseeing multiple hotels or 5 years (minimum) as a successful Director of Finance overseeing decentralized accounting functions

Excellent communication skills, with experience working with all levels of management, external customers and hotel owners/investors

Proven problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit

Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel and proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
