How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

Responsible for the development and ongoing support of varied data sources and decision support tools to help advance Delta Vacations commercial strategy. Apply data extraction, data visualization, business strategy and quantitative skills towards insightful reporting development and analysis across reporting platforms. Serve as the primary contact for the promotion of corporate data strategy projects in partnership with counterparts within DLV and Delta.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Contribute to the development of reporting and analytics tools that accurately and efficiently aggregate across data sources to provide a comprehensive view of Delta Vacations business trends, including revenue performance, competitive insights, and customer engagement.

  • Partner with commercial teams to design, create and source information for visual displays and reporting, including guiding the usage of data visualization tools, including Tableau and Power BI.

  • Partner across the enterprise to define business and data needs to ensure completeness of information for strategic and tactical decision making and to link business goals to data needs.

  • Independently develop the modeling and creation of new data sources based on current or future business needs that will support major revenue, profit, and customer experience accretive initiatives.

  • Support DLV IT on business intelligence data structure to achieve roadmap.

  • Be a change agent and play a key role in bringing consensus to decisions related to data sourcing and decisioning in conjunction with stakeholders and leaders.

  • Act as the primary point of contact with key internal/external partners to ensure DLV is considered when relevant collaborative opportunities exist, especially as it pertains to cross-commercial data exercises; to include regular interfacing, meeting participation and a focus on seams elimination between DLV, Delta, and external data sources.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Regularly evaluate processes and make recommendations to improve efficiency.

  • Manage across businesses and functions in developing and implementing projects. Assist with development and dissemination of information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Domestic and international travel to fulfill assigned responsibilities.

Annual salary range is $52031 - $82416

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Decision Science or Operations Research or equivalent work experience in a comparable field

  • Three years of strong Tableau, Power BI, Adobe Analytics, SAS, SQL, Hyperion/BRIO or similar tool skills required

  • Three years’ experience with data aggregation, data visualization, and reporting development experience required

  • Sound analytical data and communication skills; ability to communicate at all levels

  • Must be capable of independently managing multiple projects from inception to completion and make well informed priority trade-off

  • Strong collaborative communication skills and the ability to work across several stakeholder groups translating goals and objectives into deliverable strategies

  • Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with management, staff and customers as well as demonstrate sound judgment/reasoning skills

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusion, make strategic recommendations and solve problems in a timely and accurate manner

  • Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple, complex projects/deadlines simultaneously

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
