Robert Half Corporate Tax Staff Accountant in Atlanta, Georgia

Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Tax Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia. The successful candidate will be part of our team, where you will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of payroll tax to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. You will also be tasked with performing duties related to accounting and finance, with a specific focus on payroll taxes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and complete all aspects of payroll tax including registrations, filings, payments, quarterly and annual reconciliations

• Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, ensuring all payroll tax activities are compliant

• Develop, implement, and maintain payroll tax policies and procedures

• Collaborate with internal teams to identify workflow inefficiencies and propose solutions

• Resolve tax notices and discrepancies in a timely manner

• Provide support during internal and external audits

• Respond to inquiries regarding payroll tax deductions and employer tax obligations

• Utilize accounting software systems such as ADP Workforce Now for maximum efficiency

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with BlackLine software

• Knowledge of CCH Sales Tax

• Proficiency in using Concur for expense management

• Ability to perform various Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Balance Sheet Account

• Knowledge of Payroll Taxes and ADP - Payroll

• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
