Job Description

A Botanical Garden Client of Insight Global is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager. The Construction Project Manager (CPM) will support the Chief Operations Officer of the Garden with construction, capital, and expansion projects. The CPM will coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities

Project Management:

• Ensure project delivery on schedule and within budget.

• Manage contractors and ensure they meet the construction agreement/contract.

• Maintain a safe and secure working environment.

• Review submittals, drawings, specifications, and reports to prevent potential issues.

Coordination:

• Schedule and track project work across various disciplines.

• Manage internal client feedback and communicate needs to vendors.

• Coordinate project schedules with Garden events and activities to minimize operational impact.

Reporting and Review:

• Prepare regular progress reports on project and workload.

• Review design documents to ensure details are well thought out and coordinated.

• Manage and finalize contract processes and documents such as RFIs and change orders.

• Oversee quality assurance and quality control work/reporting by the contractor.

Project Control:

• Monitor project performance, budget, and schedule.

• Assist with procurement and installation of owner-provided equipment.

• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and local/state regulations.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelors degree in construction engineering, architecture, or a related field.

• 10+ years of successful construction project management experience.

• Excellent business judgment and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Attention to detail and goal-oriented leadership.

• Experience with budget management and cost estimation.

• Strong relationship-building skills with team members and vendors. null
