Business Manager - SPM Services Consulting

The Business Manager Sales Performance Management (SPM) will be responsible for the administrative, managerial, internal, and external customer relationships associated with Client Services within the assigned Region/Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively operate as Business Manager reporting to the Head of SAP SPM Services Delivery.

  • Ensure close coordination and collaboration with Sales, Account Management and Customer Success teams with a focus on new business development and customer retention.

  • Advance professional services capabilities through process improvements, tools, partnerships, and automation.

  • Support scoping workshops and own and deliver solution effort estimates.

  • Own Resource Management and resource forecasting for local projects.

  • Work with Resource Managers and extended team to allocate appropriate resources.

  • Provide monthly reporting on utilization and resource forecasting to Leadership.

  • Leadership of a team of SPM Consultants to develop, embrace and execute on business, including Productive Utilization.

  • Align with organizational goals and empower accountability, assign targets and set priorities, encourage people to take ownership, be there when necessary to decide, to backup or to help refocus.

  • Manage Remote based team members and effectively work across multiple time zones.

  • Develop a team of proactive, problem-solving individuals to deliver outstanding client engagement and satisfaction.

  • Coach people on their individual development and career opportunities and act as a mentor: support team members in development planning and fulfilment, act as coach and guide.

  • Proactively provide continuous performance management to team members.

  • Be available and responsive to team members.

  • Work with individual team members to create and support Development Plans.

  • Develop culture of continuous improvement for process repeatability, operations scaling, capacity management and customer satisfaction. Develop culture of Learning new skills and expand horizons for team members. Align and communicate a clear vision of the future of SPM: discuss, explain and actively promote the vision within own team, to peers and customers.

  • Motivate through inspiration and mobilize teams: create a comfortable working environment, establish an atmosphere for discussions, seek for feedback and call for peoples opinions Complete ad-hoc configuration and advisory requests for customers as required.

  • Run advisory workshops as required.

  • Maintain knowledge of SAP SPM product suite.

  • Ensure that all projects meet customer requirements and deliver high customer (internal and external) satisfaction & reference-ability.

  • Supports customer relationships, builds executive relationships, and supports internal relationships.

  • Develop and support business development.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate guidelines.

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years SAP Consulting experience required

  • SaaS industry experience is a MUST

  • Financial acumen; completely comfortable with the numbers

  • Experience building teams and successfully managing large teams

  • Ability to effectively manage and support teams through customer escalations

  • Track record of developing and implementing operating metrics, policies, and procedures

  • SPM Implementation knowledge and experience strongly preferred

  • Excellent working knowledge of SAP SPM product suite

  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships at the customer executive level

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred

Compensation Range Transparency : SAPbelieves the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAPs commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 150,400 - 335,900 USD.The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidatewill be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills,experience, scope ofthe role, location, etc. as determinedthrough theselection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
