Part Time Security Badging Administrator ( Card Access Coordinator )

The P/T Security Badging Administrator (Card Access Coordinator) will work in a 24/7/365 operations center. This work assignment is not a remote work from home position. All applicants must be open to working 20 hours a week as outline by the client. The designated days will be Monday through Friday. This role is responsible for the preparation, creation, printing, and administration of all badging profiles and access cards used to enter McKesson properties throughout North America. The security badging administrator will also assist in all aspects of the Global Security Operations Center to ensure all areas of operation are fully functioning and operating within the guidelines set by the GSOC Manager, GSOC Sr. Manager, and the Director of Global Security Risk Services. Hours are Monday through Friday, 6am to 10am or 6pm-10pm.

Job Description

  • Responsible for operating and maintaining the badging systems and associated printers.

  • Responsible for creating, editing, printing, reporting on, and managing the access control privileges of card holders.

  • Performs data entry of security information into a badging database.

  • Ensures accuracy and legitimacy of requested areas of access.

  • Ensures that badges in access control application are up to date on a consistent basis.

  • Assists employees, contractors, vendors, and temporary workers with attaining proper badging credentials.

  • Ensures that all processes and guidelines are followed when creating and distributing access badges.

  • Evaluates various security badge applications for accuracy and relevance of requests.

  • Responsible for removing access privileges and deactivating badging profiles for terminated staff and all employees when access is no longer granted.

  • Utilizes multiple software and hardware programs to produce the appropriate badge profile for all sites.

  • Adds new employees to access control database.

  • Responsible for tracking all badges created for employees, contractors, vendors, and temporary workers, while maintaining an inventory of all created badges.

  • Responsible for responding to ServiceNow requests.

  • Maintains related metrics.

  • Maintains and secures information of all applicants.

  • Identifies issues with the badging processes and equipment and brings those concerns to the attention of the Global Security Operations Center Senior Manager.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Global Security Operations Center Senior Manager.

  • Strong administration skills, Outlook, Microsoft Office, and database entry. Ability to learn current access control and badging systems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ operational experience in a Global Security Operation Center, Fusion Center, Emergency Operation Center, Command and Control Center or similar security and intelligence operation center.

  • 1+ years’ experience with physical security systems and access control measures as it pertains to badging and access control.

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to effectively interact with a diverse team of people and to deal with fast paced work environment with rapidly changing work priorities.

  • Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management and staff.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.

  • Proficient with the use of technology and various communications operating systems.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel. Working knowledge of Access and PowerPoint.

  • Military and/or Law Enforcement background desired, but not required.

  • Knowledge of overall Global Security Operations is a plus.

Pay is $26.50 per hour
