Develop and strengthen our financial processes

The opportunity:

Flexport is looking for a Bill Processing Associate Manager, Billing Support. You’ll be responsible for managing a team that owns the reconciliations of our accounts payable vendor statements and the accounts payable analytics team.

You will:

  • Prepare and present reports on accounts payable metrics and analytics to senior management.

  • Do whatever it takes to help our vendors to resolve billing-related questions and problems.

  • Collaborate with Account Management and internal departments for dispute resolution.

  • Provide tasks and responsibilities for team members.

  • Manage team's KPIs, workload, and performance management. Responsible for internal stakeholder management.

  • Drive analytics creating visibility and feedback loops.

  • Continuous improvement - ongoing review of processes, quickly adapting to new information, and adjusting to organizational impacts.

  • Oversee the reconciliation of accounts payable vendor statements to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

  • Lead the accounts payable analytics team to provide actionable insights and support decision-making.

  • Develop and implement processes to streamline accounts payable operations and improve efficiency.

  • Monitor and manage team performance, setting clear goals and KPIs.

  • Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them prioritize tasks and responsibilities.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, adapting quickly to new information and organizational changes.

You should have:

  • SQL knowledge and experience required.

  • BA/BS degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience and Knowledge of the freight forwarding industry is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Ocean, Trucking, Air, and Partner contracts is a plus.

  • Leadership experience, whether through direct management, mentorship, or projects, is required.

  • Able to coach employees to achieve results; needs to be able to have patience in seeing the success of your employees.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Next-level attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Courage to challenge the status quo when logic and reason require it.
