Please review the following job description:

Manage the overall credit quality, risk mitigation, workout process and operational/regulatory compliance associated with Truist’s AFG business. Analyze, structure financial covenants and underwrite corporate credit risks for certain clients that utilize AFG securitization loan facilities. Work with Truist clients, AFG Originations and Coverage Bankers to underwrite corporate credit risk and to perform ongoing portfolio monitoring and management. Actively work with other functional groups to ensure AFG attains its revenue, PPNR, credit quality and other financial objectives. Total portfolio is $14B in Commitments; approximately 350 relationships including left leads, participations and sole bank transactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  1. Manage/mitigate credit risk of portfolio transactions.

  2. Complete on-time, accurate, well-articulated annual reviews, amendment memos, trend cards, and CLAR's; maintains MRA quarterly spreads/PRISM grade reviews; maintains credit files, other compliance requirements such as monthly tickler attestations, quarterly/annual credit file reviews and attestations, manage collateral, review field exams and appraisals.

  3. Attract, retain and develop a team of top credit professionals.

  4. Understand and adhere to various Truist and ABL policies, processes, procedures and regulatory requirements; ensures policies and controls are executed; timely completion of all required Corporate and Business unit training/testing

  5. Restructures or resolves troubled (workout) credits with input from risk partners.

  6. Manage ABL credit, operational and market risk within pre-approved risk tolerance levels.

  7. Work with originations, structuring, legal, compliance and risk partners to align strategic objectives, share market knowledge, and facilitate seamless execution.

  8. Demonstrate Truist culture and values.

Required Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree

  2. Licenses: Series 79 and 63

  3. 11-15 years of related work experience

  4. Solid subject matter expertise including knowledge of industry drivers, product positioning, structuring and risk mitigation.

  5. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional areas to resolve complex issues

  6. Strong interpersonal skills which foster teamwork, trust, creativity/innovation and accountability

  7. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and insightfully

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA degree, with a Finance focus

  2. Diversified product structuring/underwriting/portfolio management experience
