Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia
Description
We are searching for a meticulous Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. The role is based in the industry and will involve a blend of in-office and remote work. The Accounts Payable Specialist will report to the Accounting Manager and work with various teams both within and outside the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data through thorough analysis and validation.
• Contribute to division-wide processes such as escheatment and balance maintenance.
• Work on team projects focused on root cause analysis, process mapping, and process improvement.
• Verify the accuracy of adjustments submitted by customer service before entering them into the system.
• Resolve daily process issues, including problems with system data transmission and freight processing.
• Generate and manage monthly vendor reports, and address vendor inquiries, payment discrepancies, and account-related issues.
• Use your knowledge of Accounts Payable to handle invoicing and related tasks.
• Utilize your advanced skills in Excel and other Microsoft tools for various tasks.
• Apply your understanding of accounting software systems, Enterprise Resource Planning, and other relevant tools for order entry and other processes.
• Use your strong organizational skills to manage large volume portfolios.
• Apply your strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills to various tasks and challenges.
• Use your excellent communication skills to collaborate with various teams and address inquiries and issues.
Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role
• Proficiency in Account Coding
• Experience with Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
• Proficient user of Concur
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Able to perform all Accounting Functions
• Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting
• Experience in Auditing
• Familiar with Automated Clearing House (ACH)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
