Description

Robert Half is seeking a candidate for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that is able to start asap. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Atlanta, Georgia area and will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire position. In this dynamic department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk matches and batches code invoices, resolves A/P issues, processes expense reports, updates and reconciles sub-ledger to G/L, and processes checks.

What you get to do every single day

• Execute additional tasks as needed

• Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

• Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

• Implement full-cycle A/P

• Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

• Provide support during internal and external audits

• Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

• Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs

• Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily

  Requirements

• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

• Spreadsheet and database capabilities

• Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

• Enter Invoices experience

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Expertise in Code Invoices

• Experience with Enter Vendor Invoices

• Strong familiarity with customer invoices

• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
