POSITION AVAILABLE: RTS Inspector

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

LOCATION: Athens, TX

Summary: Inspects parts, products and/or processes to insure conformance with standards. Inspects materials or products using fixed or variable measuring instruments. Checks for irregularities and defects. Compares product with parts list to ensure completion of assembly. Verifies specified dimensions on product or material by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities ( other duties may be assigned ):

• Inspect each home when notified it is "Ready and Complete" by Final Finish Supervisor. 'Ready and Complete" means that all work and final cleaning has been done.

• Utilize check sheet and inspect each room and exterior for obvious cosmetic defects.

• Ensure that the unit meets cleanliness standards for shipping.

• Follow up on repairs - they will be continuous. RTS person will personally inspect each item written up on the check sheet to verify that a quality repair has been made and that no other damage happens during the repair process and/or any additional clean up is necessary

• Verify all ship loose material is loaded per ship loose check sheet.

• Coordinates with engineering, sales and manufacturing personnel to effectively resolve problems related to product design, materials, specifications and/or manufacturing operations.

• Ensures all quality control policies, procedures, directives and systems within compliance of company and/or applicable federal regulations, continually strives to increase the level of quality assurance within the facility.

• Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed in accordance with guidelines established by the Company in accordance with OSHA regulations.

Qualifications:

• Experience in manufactured or modular housing construction

• Microsoft experience, particularly Excel and Word

• Must be able to meet deadlines, work under pressure, follow best practices and company policies

• Must be able to multitask and have the ability to consistently follow best practices when making inspections

• Must be able to resolve issues calmly and with professional conduct

• Understanding of all quality measures

• Understanding of the construction process of factory-built housing

• Sense of urgency in resolving issues and improving processes is required

• Ability to effectively communicate and direct team members to recognize quality specifications so there is less rework

• Must be results driven and be able to focus on customer expectations

Education and/or Experience:

• High School degree and or some college, or one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
