LifePoint Health Monitor Tech (nights) in Athens, Tennessee

Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking talent to fill the position ofMonitor Techfor our TelemetryDepartment. This job is permanent,full-time.

*Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following: *

  • Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
  • Reads telemetry test strips and places them in the patient charts at required intervals.
  • Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately.
  • Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
  • Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports equipment problems to supervisor.
