Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Medical Technologist for our Laboratory Services Department. This job is permanent, full time.

Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following:
- Performs common testing procedures and reports test results.
- Performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Performs quality control testing.
- Maintains supplies needed for performance of tests.
- Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.
- Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.
- Assists with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing and transporting specimens.
- Maintains work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner.
Minimum Education Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology and ASCP certification by a CLIA approved credentialing organization OR BS equivalency by passing a certification exam given by a CLIA approved credentialing organization MT(ASCP), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MT(AMT): □ Preferred, X Required Drag Edit Delete
Required Licenses [Tennessee, United States] Clinical Laboratory Personnel Technologist MT (ASCP) certification OR equivalent (AMT) OR State of Tennessee Medical Technologist license OR Medical Technologist- General Supervisor: □ Preferred X Required Drag Edit Delete
