Job Title: Electromechanical Technician

Job Description

Join our team as an Electromechanical Technician and engage in activities related to the design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery in our manufacturing facility. This role involves inspecting and repairing machinery based on operating parameters, adhering to engineering principles and strict safety regulations. You will troubleshoot mechanical and operational problems, take corrective action, and perform preventative maintenance. The role also requires testing newly installed equipment, notifying supervisors about recurring issues, and supporting production by working closely with operators. Be prepared to work overtime as necessary to support a six-day work week.

Hard Skills

  • Robotics troubleshooting and maintenance

  • PLC troubleshooting

  • 480v Electrical Maintenance - troubleshooting, reading schematics, using electrical meters, variable frequency drives, electrical cabinets, relays, switches, and 3-phase motors

  • Pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components

  • Mechanical Maintenance - part repair and replacement, reading blueprints, fixing breakdowns, etc.

Soft Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions

  • Effective communication with other departments and shifts

  • Strong adherence to safety protocols

  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary

Job Type

Option to do 6-month contract-to-hire or direct hire.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Athens, TN.

Work Environment

This position is based in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment, which can get hot with high humidity. The majority of your time will be spent on your feet working on the floor. The dress code includes jeans, steel-toed shoes, and a work shirt. You will be part of a team of 8 total maintenance technicians.

Pay: $25.20-$28.35/hr, depending on experience

Shifts: 2nd and 3rd

Schedule: Monday-Friday with OT on weekends as needed, which will be pretty often

Weekly Hours: Probably about 60-68
