The Role The Receiving Associate performs duties such as receiving, storing, and issuing raw materials for manufacturing; and recording material movements in and out of inventory. This role is located in Athens, Ohio. The Responsibilities Unloads materials and equipment from delivery services: noting overages, shortages and damage with the carrier on their respective record of delivery. Verifies delivered materials and/or services match the details of the respective purchase order. Receives appropriate quantities into ERP in the correct unit of weights and measures, dollars or percentage. Creates labels for raw materials. Stores materials correctly in the appropriate warehouse Uses equipment such as a Reach Fork Truck Rider, Walk Behind Stacker, Electric Pallet Jack or Manual Pallet Jack. Completes order fulfillment for Form 17's and Form 24's. Issues materials under the correct codes to departments using ERP. Moves material electronically throughout the plant using RF technology. Maintains proper stock rotation. Assists with conducting cycle counts. Documents and issues asset tags to assets requiring such identification. Applies knowledge of departmental and relevant QSOPs. Works in other areas as assigned, including working in shipping when necessary. The Individual Required: High school diploma or equivalent Basic computer skills The ability to abide by departmental and relevant QSOPs Ability to successfully obtain a license through an accredited fork lift training program; which requires passing both a written and practical test. Preferred: Previous experience in Receiving The Key Working Relationships Internal Partners: Interacts with all departments The Work Environment Manufacturing environment. The ability to lift 50 lbs. of equipment and boxes regularly. Flexible work hours, including overtime, to meet work deadlines. Ability to stand and walk for extended period of time. Ability to bend and move without constraint.
