DescriptionProject Manager I - Distribution Location: Remote - must reside in Ohio, Maryland, Delaware, or Florida Your role in our success will be: This position carries the responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating various projects valued between $1-10M associated with gas distribution and transmission. Organizes multi-disciplinary teams through project lifecycles consisting of project creation, budgeting, monitoring, and making adjustments when required. What you'll be working on: Leads, with supervision, multi-disciplinary project teams; accountable for planning, coordinating, directing and controlling various gas distribution and transmission construction projects valued at $1-10M With support of seasoned PMs, monitors project progress according to established timelines, recommends budget adjustments when necessary, and meets with contractors weekly. Assists with the development of Gantt charts and briefs business unit leadership monthly on progress toward timeline and budget milestones. Monitors the project activities to ensure alignment with all State, Federal and Company safety requirements Applies technical knowledge and project management skills to address unforeseen issues or concerns with the project and takes action to resolve General understanding of external regulations and requirements Assist with selection, review of contractor progress Conducts project meetings to review progress, provide updates and identify risks Who you are: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Project Management Work Experience: 0-3 years, internship preferred Drivers' License (type): Driver License Required Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions. Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule on a short-term basis (day-to-day, week-to-week) Ability to make decisions which have impact on the immediate work unit. Ability to compose letters, outlines, memoranda, and basic reports and to verbally communicate technical information. Ability to communicate with customers utilizing the telephone. Ability to make informal presentations, inside and/or outside the organization. Speaking before groups. Ability to compose materials such as detailed reports, work-related manuals, and make presentations outside the immediate work area.
