Position Summary:
The Project Manager will report to either the Athens or Dublin campus to support activities of the Clinical and Translational Research Unit ( CTRU ) within the Office of Research and Grants ( ORG ). This role is necessary in executing a successful research strategy for the Heritage College. This position requires strong project management, communications, and administrative skills. Major responsibilities include facilitating project management support and related research services for projects in public health, epidemiology, health policy, health services research, clinical research, or related disciplines. The Project Manager will also apply specialized knowledge through acquired certifications or training to support administration and development of projects, as well as coordinate activities related to research projects. Additionally, the role involves providing operations-related services such as protocol development, grant development and submission, human subject recruitment and compensation, data review and analysis, and abstract and manuscript development. The Project Manager will work closely with research team members (i.e., faculty, staff, students, community partners) to support analysis and reporting, conduct literature reviews, connect with community partners, assist with grants and special projects, and perform other duties as assigned.
Position Responsibilities:
Administrative project oversight including procurement of specialized supplies, equipment, and any fiscal considerations.
IRB development and submission of research protocols (e.g., qualitative and interventional) in collaboration with the principal investigators and research teams.
Development of data collection methods (e.g., Case Report Forms (CRFs) or Electronic Data Capture ( EDC ) systems such as REDCap) and/or documentation for projects and programs in accordance with applicable regulations.
Use research methods to participate in the design, coordination, and conduct of research projects.
Oversee collaboration between team members, both internal and external to the CTRU .
Submission, as needed, to appropriate agencies in support of the research programs and assistance with any reporting requirements (e.g., ClinicalTrials.gov).
Develop and implement best practices for unit operational needs.
Engage and support Heritage College faculty, University centers, and institutes to bring new projects to the CTRU .
Support the mission and values of the Heritage College and promote the research strategic plan by following established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
Use specialized knowledge and skills to coordinate data collection for the execution of projects under Good Clinical Practices ( GCP ), International Council for Harmonisation ( ICH ), and Human Subjects Protection ( HSP ).
Coordinate focus groups, interviews, or assessments for data collection.
Initiate or participate in recruitment activities to reach project enrollment goals.
Identify and coordinate the supplies and resources required to conduct research protocols.
Schedule research team, participants, and resources in accordance with protocol timelines.
Assist with preparation for audits and respond to audits.
Input data accurately and in a timely manner.
Oversee and initiate data quality activities, including interim monitoring visits and data queries
Interface with research participants to determine eligibility, obtaining informed consent, and compensate for study participation according to research protocols.
Produce information leaflets and other materials to inform participants and the wider community about events and activities organized by researchers; maintaining social media for study PIs to disseminate activities, peer-reviewed publications, and other scholarly products
Participate in Business Continuity Planning activities for the CTRU .
Participate in regular research team meetings and ORG or CTRU team meetings to discuss current activities or planning activities.
Attend assigned training and maintain proficiency with required technologies and procedures.
Travel to support/represent CTRU activities.
Provide training or presentations.
Support the CTRU operational needs as delegated.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field of study
1 year of relevant professional experience.
*An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree

Advertised Salary:
The approved hiring range for this position is $43,888-$51,377. Offers outside of this range of subject to additional approvals.
