Position Summary:

The Curriculum Coordinator oversees the coordination of curriculum materials and events for the preclinical and clinical education programs at Ohio University’s Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine ( HCOM ), Cleveland campus. This role plays a key part in enhancing the student experience at the Cleveland campus and contributes to the college’s overall success by supporting the delivery of its multi-campus curriculum model.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the campus liaison for Curriculum, Assessment, and Evaluation, supporting curriculum implementation to ensure student success. Facilitate exam proctoring and student exam reviews. Coordinate local campus activities related to student academic performance indicators (score/quiz sheets, grades, attendance forms). Advise and orient students on curriculum matters, academic procedures, and the introduction of Heritage College curricular resources.

  • Coordinate instructional materials and academic schedules to ensure compliance with college policies within the multi-campus model of curriculum delivery for the Heritage College. Prepare and disseminate instructional materials and Heritage College Academic Affairs information for campus faculty, facilitators, guest lecturers, and speakers. Assist with campus event programming, and academic session logistics and setup. Update and draft academic procedures pertinent to the campus.

  • Coordinate with faculty and staff both locally on campus and remotely (via video conference) with academic peers across the Heritage College’s multi-campus environment. Provide faculty support for new curriculum initiatives. Serve as an administrative liaison to curriculum planning teams and participate in recurring Office of Medical Education ( OME ) meetings. Utilize student, curriculum, and course management software to support campus academic requirements.

  • Coordinate instructional materials and academic schedules to ensure compliance with college policies within the structure of a distributed clinical education system across the state of Ohio. Provide support and facilitate the presentation of the didactic curriculum, including logistics for didactic sessions and assistance for presenters. Under the direction of OME Curriculum leadership, assist with the distribution of curricular objectives to clinical healthcare partners, preceptors, and clinical faculty. Collaborate with HCOM staff to gather, enter, analyze, and evaluate data for reporting and programming, such as annual rotation and clinical/community experience capacity. Assist with logistics and communication related to COMSAE Level 2 administration and appeals, coordinate curricular schedules for Objective Structured Clinical Exams (OSCEs) and other clinical experiential events for third- and fourth-year students, and monitor off-cycle course scheduling, evaluation, and completion.

  • Support the coordination of Clinical Training and Assessment Center ( CTAC ) activities in learning environments, including routine coursework, Basic Life Support ( BLS ) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support ( ACLS ) training, boot camps, simulation sessions, transition to residency programs, and student events.

  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 1 year of related professional experience

*Equivalent combination of experience/education may be substituted

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with curriculum management software.

Advertised Salary:

The approved hiring range for this position is $16.84-$21.48 per hour. Offers outside of this range of subject to additional approvals.
