Ohio University Assistant Women's Basketball Coach in Athens, Ohio

Job Description:

This position reports to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach. Responsible to the head coach for providing coaching expertise and leadership of the intercollegiate athletics program; assisting the head coach in the effective management and administration of all aspects relating to a positive and beneficial intercollegiate experience for student-athletes, and other administrative duties.

  1. Teaching and coaching student-athletes to develop and acquire the tactical, technical and physical knowledge required to be a competitive Division I intercollegiate level student-athlete. Responsible for skill instruction during individual and team practices. Manage skill development for assigned positions.

  2. Responsible for talent assessment. Conduct a successful recruiting program to identify and cultivate outstanding student-athletes to Ohio University.

  3. Ensure the women’s basketball program, including staff members and student-athletes, is in compliance with NCAA , Mid-American Conference, and Ohio University regulations. Other duties as assigned by the head coach.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required. Coaching experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree
