Overview

Automotive Engineering is seeking a qualified candidate to join their team as a Clerical Assistant, providing various administrative support.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for documenting Con Edison and Orange & Rockland Utility vehicle related data into the vehicle management systems (Fleetwave). In addition to overseeing the receiving vehicles from vendors and company employees, perform Department of Motor Vehicle tasks, and other duties necessary to manage the fleet of vehicle for both Con Edison and O&R.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders throughout the company to ensure alignment on strategic objectives and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Champion the efforts to create and maintain a diversity, equity and inclusion workplace.
  • Responsible for data entry using the vehicle management system, such as vehicle information, preventative maintenance schedule, and more.
  • Perform Department of Motor Vehicle and Finance tasks, including travel to NY offices and obtain tax stamps.
  • Manage the receiving and distributing of vehicles from vendors and customers.
  • Develop and maintain Microsoft Word and Excel data spreadsheets.
  • Provide support with garages fleet data and other administrative functions as needed.
  • Willing to travel to city agencies for permits and registrations.
  • Willing to work with vendors on vehicle deliveries.
  • This position is 5-day onsite with standard shift hours as Monday through Friday, from 7am-3:30pm with possibility of over time mandate.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED
Relevant Work Experience
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Required
  • Experience and knowledge of the automotive industry Preferred
  • Experience with DMV procedures and forms Preferred

  • Possess manual dexterity and the ability to use hands for the duration of the workday
  • Ability to stoop, bend, reach, and kneel throughout the workday
Additional Physical Demands
  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
