FlexStaff Accounts Payable Specialist - FlexStaff in Astoria, New York

We are looking for a temporary Accounts Payable Analyst for our Client, a power plant, located in Astoria, Queens, NY.

This is a full-time, Monday-Friday, 7a-3pm, temporary job (long-term indefinite duration). No benefits.

In this role you will be assisting with invoice payment processing and month end accruals.

The ideal candidate would have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and experience with processing AP.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Processing invoices for payments using EAM and GP

  • Ensuring all invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner while following established procedures

  • Resolving invoice discrepancies and disputes

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors

  • Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges

  • Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts

The salary range for this position is $29-$40/hour
