Job Title: Staff Accountant

Job Description

Under general supervision, use a knowledge of basic accounting practices, data entry and company practices to create, process and maintain various company documents.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post general ledger entries within Epicor

  • Reconcile and analyze various general ledger accounts

  • Post general ledger corrections and adjustments where necessary

  • Assist with accounting/financial projects and presentations

  • Support accounts payable when needed (enter, process, pay invoices)

  • Handle accounts receivable, post customer payments with accuracy and attention to detail, process daily invoicing, set up new customers, etc.

  • Process employee expense reports and monthly credit card statements

  • Observe and comply with all company policies and regulations including safety, housekeeping, confidentiality of information and quality of work with support of ISO procedures and standards

Essential Skills

  • Month end close functions such as journal entries and reconciliations

  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing

  • General ledger entries

  • Experience working within an accounting ERP

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and spreadsheets

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate's degree

  • 2+ years of experience with month end close functions within a manufacturing organization greater than $25 million in revenue

  • 2+ years of experience with preparing and posting general ledger entries

  • 2+ years of experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing

Work Environment

This role operates 5 days onsite in a blue-collar manufacturing setting. Candidates should be comfortable with this type of environment. The dress code is casual, including jeans. You will report to the Controller and work alongside one other accounting employee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
